Communitites In Schools of North Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) agency, providing services to students in Elementary through High School who are at risk for dropping out of school. CISNT places a social work professional on campuses to work with students, families and faculty to alleviate existing barriers to a student's success. CISNT is currently present at Peters Colony Elementary School and Griffin Middle School. Volunteer opportunities available.

The Colony Early Childhood PTA is a local non-profit organization for families of children ages 0-5 years old. We are affiliated with both the State and National PTA; the largest child advocacy organization in the United States. Currently 100 families strong, we are committed to improving the lives of young children in our community through parent education, activities, and community involvement.
We meet the 2nd Monday of each month (September-May). See our website for more details!
Our group meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 7 to 9 p.m. We offer our members support, continued education hours, referrals and to voice our concerns as a group on policy making. We also offer parents in The Colony quality care for their children. All members are registered or licensed with the state of Texas and meet the minimum standards required by Department of Family and Protective Services.

The Horizons Church Storehouse can be thought of as a community hub - a gathering place for sharing with those in need. We are a ministry of Horizons Church, and a member agency with North Texas Food Bank. We serve people in The Colony and surrounding Southern Denton and Northern Collin counties with emergency food and financial assistance.
We are open on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 9am - 12 noon.
